While most hospice care is provided in the comfort of a patient’s home, sometimes an extra level of care for pain and symptom management is needed. Hospice of Marion County’s three Hospice Houses provide this around-the-clock care in home-like settings.

Our inpatient Hospice Houses are licensed and equipped for acute level of care while providing comfortable rooms for patients and spaces for families and friends to visit and gather. When symptoms are under control, some patients may return to their former home if appropriate.

Our Hospice Houses Include:

  • Around the clock care
  • Regular visits by the hospice medical directors, social workers, chaplains and other support personnel
  • Private rooms and bathrooms
  • Meals prepared by our on-site chef
  • TVs with cable, private telephones and videoconferencing
  • Dining and family rooms for visitors
  • Comfortable suites to accommodate visits from family and friends
  • Medications related to the terminal diagnosis
  • Medical equipment and supplies
